Chris Harder has been working as a Professional Photographer since graduating from North Island College's Professional Photography program in 2013.
However, Chris' photographic journey has covered many years and much of the world.
At age five Chris received his first camera and started dreaming of landing a National Geographic cover photo. Wildlife and landscape were his frequent childhood subjects.
In High School he learned to develop and print his own film images during photography class. A passion for film, an eye for composition, and a desire to capture visual wonder was born.
After High School Chris spent three months travelling around South Africa documenting his experiences as a travel and lifestyle photographer.
Over the next few years his travels took him to various places around the South Pacific, North America, and Europe. His interests in adventure sports and getting into the backcountry make for a good pairing with his photography.
In June 2013, Chris graduated with honours from North Island College's Professional Photography Program. There he learned even more technical application of his art form, and found a passion for commercial photography. This has rounded out his portfolio and prepared him to offer his clients a full range of professional photography services.
